the requirements for both new and renewal of navigation license for UAE Flagged vessels

1)    1) Receipt of the application for the issuance of the NL (New / Renewal) as applicable
2) Certificate of registry
3) Certificate of Class from one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
4) Tonnage certificate from one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
5) Loadline certificate from one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
6) Safety construction certificate one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
7) Safety equipment certificate + Form E from one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed
8) Safety radio certificate + Form R one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
9) Intl oil pollution certificate one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
10) Statement of Air pollution certificate one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.

11) Intl Sewage Pollution certificate one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 24mtr or 150GT whichever comes first.
12) Safety management certificate one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 500 GT
13) Document of compliance - one of the FTA approved RO's with annual endorsement completed for units above 500 GT

13) Intl Ship security certificate - with annual endorsement completed for units above 500 GT.
14) Minimum safe manning document
15) Ship station license for vessels above 35mtr
16) De-ratting certificate from one of the FTA approved companies
17) Continuous synopsis record
18) P&I Club insurance
19) Hull & Machinery insurance

20) CLC for oil pollution for Tankers

21 CLC for Bunker pollution for tankers
20) Company trade license
21) If the vessel is above 12mtr and less than 500GT, the vessel will also be required to comply with GCC Code certificate issued by Tasneef in addition to class requirements.

22) If the vessel is below 12mtr, General condition survey report from one of the FTA approved companies
